Chigwell Row trip for Kingsmead primary

On Thursday 29 September, Kingsmead primary school enjoyed an active start to the school year with an adventurous trip to Chigwell Row Campsite, thanks to £800 funding from Sanctuary Housing. All pupils experienced a host of outdoor pursuits at the activity centre; developing their skills, boosting confidence and helping them bond with new friends and teachers. Activities included grass sledging, trampolining, giant games, crazy golf and much more.

Alicia from Year 4 said “I liked the crazy golf and the grass sledging but the climbing tower was my favourite. I climbed all the way to the top of the tower, my legs were shaking I was so scared but when I got down I felt fantastic that I’d done it.”

Doja Sowunmi, PE lead – “Our whole school trip to Chigwell Row is so fantastic – it allows the children much needed bonding time outside of the classroom and gets them engaged in challenging physical activities. It also allows them to use their imaginations in  wonderful natural surroundings.”
